Mouse research examined beta-adrenergic pathway involvement. Animals without the beta-3 receptor showed differences between acute and prolonged findings. The study itself did not support a simple direct action at that receptor.

The fragment name is insufficient

The analytical paper defines AOD-9604 as an hGH segment with an N-terminal modification. It must therefore remain distinct from full growth hormone and the native fragment. Abbreviated names omitting that difference cannot assign evidence precisely.

A relevant mechanistic discrepancy

In beta-3-receptor-deficient mice, some prolonged responses observed in controls were absent while acute energy-expenditure and fat-oxidation changes persisted. This prevents summarizing the study as direct beta-3 agonism or combining every endpoint under one functional label.

Detecting a metabolite does not establish its function

Analytical work identified products after serum and urine incubation in vitro, with persistence differing from the starting compound. The purpose was detection. A more persistent molecular species can be a useful analytical marker without demonstrated equivalent biological activity.
