CJC-1295 DAC: research reference
CJC-1295 DAC is an analog of the 1-29 fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone, with an attached maleimide-type albumin affinity complex. In research literature, it binds to the GHRH receptor and acts as an agonist of that pathway. It has been studied in models of prolonged exposure of the somatotropic axis in preclinical research. The long-acting variant was also examined in clinical trials in healthy adults, measuring GH, IGF-I and pharmacokinetics. Those studies do not automatically describe the variant without DAC or certify the commercial material.

Mechanism described in the literature
The affinity group forms a covalent bond with serum albumin in in vitro studies, modifying the peptide's exposure profile. The molecular target remains the GHRH receptor, which is coupled to Gs protein.

Reconstitution: Laboratory procedure: allow the closed vial to reach room temperature, disinfect the septum and slowly transfer the diluent against the inner wall of the vial. Do not shake; gently swirl the vial until fully dissolved. Record the volume, diluent and date in the batch log.
Storage: Sealed vial of lyophilized material: store at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of reconstituted material; aliquot when the experimental design permits.

CJC-1295 DAC: what has been studied
Teichman and colleagues examined the long-acting analog in healthy adults in two masked, placebo-controlled studies, measuring GH and IGF-I concentrations and compound-exposure parameters. Exposure and temporal follow-up
The cited study observed sustained GH and IGF-I changes and cumulative behavior after repeated exposure. Compound presence and measured hormonal response must be distinguished. Their different curves cannot be collapsed into one universal duration. Sources: PMID 16352683.
Pulsatility addresses a different question
Ionescu and Frohman used serial nighttime GH sampling before and after exposure to the long-acting analog. Pulsatility was preserved and baseline concentrations between pulses increased. Pulse frequency and magnitude did not show the same change. Mean concentration alone does not capture all these features. Sources: PMID 17018654.
Difference from CJC-1295 without DAC
The pulsatility paper explicitly identifies an analog that binds endogenous albumin. That is part of its experimental identity. Similar commercial names do not transfer the study’s temporal observations to a No-DAC preparation. Sources: PMID 17018654.
