Deslorelin
Deslorelin is a GnRH peptide analog. Beyond endocrine research, it appears in tissue-transport studies and experimental conjugates. These address different questions and do not describe one interchangeable material.

Deslorelin is a GnRH agonist. Its incorporation into a receptor-directed conjugate has been studied in cellular models; conjugate behavior also depends on components attached to the peptide.

Tissue changes the transport readout
A 2004 study compared isolated regions of bovine nasal mucosa. Deslorelin transport differed by region and direction. The finding cannot be reduced to one peptide permeability property independent of tissue.
Clues to energy-dependent processes
Transport asymmetry disappeared when temperature- and energy-related conditions were modified. The authors also examined histological differences. Together, the observations supported transport mechanisms beyond exclusively passive passage.
The conjugate is a different experimental entity
A later investigation evaluated a deslorelin-docetaxel conjugate in H1299 cells and mouse xenografts. It also included a combination with gene-carrying nanoparticles. Free peptide, conjugate and combined system are three different study objects; complete-system findings do not automatically belong to deslorelin.
Questions and answers
Is permeability the same across all mucosa?
The bovine study found regional variation in preclinical models and does not support a universal permeability value.
Is deslorelin-docetaxel a simple mixture?
The publication describes a conjugate. Its chemical linkage is part of the design and distinguishes it from separate components.
