Gonadorelin
Gonadorelin is the synthetic form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone. Its research distinguishes hormone quantity from the response produced by an experimental system. It is neither LH nor a modified GnRH analog.
This is a research reference, not a product offered in the Asciende catalog. Published studies do not establish the identity, purity or availability of a commercial preparation.

Mechanism described in the literature
Preclinical literature describes gonadorelin-stimulated LH release in pituitary preparations. The observed magnitude depends on the model, prior tissue state and variable chosen to describe the response.

Bioassay sensitivity and precision
A 1983 study compared dispersed pituitary cells with rat tissue segments. Cells detected smaller quantities but their response varied considerably in vitro. Segments were more precise under the evaluated conditions. The more sensitive system was not automatically the better one for quantification.
Comparing GnRH forms
A 2024 sheep study included gonadorelin, buserelin, deslorelin and lecirelin. Their LH profiles differed. Analysis considered both the observed peak and the cumulative response, two different descriptions of a hormone curve.
What a curve can compare
The sheep experiment used different exposure conditions across compounds, so it does not establish a universal molecular-potency ranking. Nor does an LH response measure receptor affinity. Interpretation must retain species, endocrine context and the original outcome.
Questions and answers
Are gonadorelin and LH the same hormone?
No. In the cited pituitary bioassay, gonadorelin is the experimental stimulus and LH is the measured hormone response.
Does a higher peak mean a larger total response?
Not necessarily. Peak and area under the curve describe different features; the sheep study examined them separately.
