Nafarelin
Nafarelin is a synthetic GnRH analog. Its studies distinguish peptide identity, preparation composition and metabolite tracking. Nafarelin acetate specifies a salt form but does not describe a complete formulation.

Composition modifies observed exposure
A 1988 pharmacokinetic study compared nafarelin preparations. Changes in nasal formulation composition were associated with absorption differences. The finding concerns those preparations rather than a fixed property of every solution containing the peptide.
A label also tracks transformation products
That work used labeled material to examine elimination and metabolites, identifying peptide fragments and non-peptide products. Detecting a label therefore does not necessarily detect intact nafarelin; the method must distinguish which chemical species generates the signal.
Comparisons with multiple outcomes
A 1994 randomized trial compared nafarelin acetate and buserelin acetate formulations. Several reproductive outcomes showed no significant difference, although a concomitant resource differed. Similarity in selected outcomes does not demonstrate molecular or pharmacokinetic equivalence.

No. Metabolites can retain the label; the nafarelin study separated these questions.
