Solubility and choosing a compatible diluent
Select the solvent from material and assay requirements. If no applicable method exists, plan a limited, documented evaluation before committing all contents; dissolving the solid does not establish suitability for the experiment.

Compatibility has two sides
A vehicle must suit both the material and the experimental system. A condition that improves dissolution may be unacceptable for the assay. Record both rationales instead of treating the solvent name as an answer to both questions.
Merck’s guide proposes evaluating composition and identity and testing a portion before the full sample when an appropriate solution is unknown. This is selection guidance, not authorization to apply one pH or solvent to every product.
Case: the solid disappears, but the control fails
A visually homogeneous preparation may accompany a vehicle control that fails the experimental criterion. In that case, successful-looking reconstitution is insufficient: investigate the conditions before attributing the result to the compound.
Change a variable and leave a record
When the procedure permits solubility evaluation, give each tested condition an identifier. Record what changed and how the preparation was assessed. Do not successively add solvents or make adjustments without being able to reconstruct the final composition.

Dissolving does not establish integrity or assay compatibility. Avoid blind pH adjustment or solvent addition without a documented condition.

No. Review identity, composition and method before changing volume; the change also alters the planned preparation.
Can a video of another peptide determine the choice?
It may suggest questions, but does not establish compatibility for your material and assay.
